This spieces makes very long suckers from the pseudostem. Sometimes 2-3 meters far! The plants that get a lot of sun, the pseudostem turns to dark purple. The leaf are green. The fruits taste sweet delicious. The flowers are huge 30cm till 60cm. A true ornamental plant. It grows in root clumps of very tall plants. This tree can grow up to 7 meters tall. Best for this specimen is to keep it in a container. The hardiness is similar to Musa basjoo or even better.
