Yucca campestris – Plains Yucca
This Yucca campestris is trunkless and endangered. This species grows in sandy soil. It has large grassy leaves in a robust rosette. It has a bluish colour in full sun. The flower stems are very large with many white flowers. Really impressive for this plant. After flowering it will produce many seeds. We pollinated our own plant with Yucca filamentosa pollen. It easily produces suckers around the main stem. This Yucca campestris is cold hardy. Give this exotic looking dwarf Yucca a great spot in your garden and it will become a great garden plant! Protect it well from frost a little… A wonderful plant for warm and tropical climates.
